Our Curriculum 2011-2012

Well, I am going back in history recalling different curriculums we used and for what grade levels.  The following is what we did - click on the words in Bold for more information.

Bible - We did individual devotions for this year.  God and Me for girls and Gotta Have God for boys.  These come in various age levels - was a favorite for my kids and they continued on their own in the summer.  Even asked for another book the following year.

Language Arts - My 5th grader did Apologia's Jump In for writing, Getty-Dubay Italic Handwriting, Learning Language Arts through Literature and Building Spelling Skills.

My 4th and 2nd graders all did the appropriate levels of Hooked on Phonics Master Reader, First Language Lessons, Getty-Dubay Italic Handwriting, and Building Spelling Skills.

All the kids did the appropriate level of Wordly Wise.

Math - We continued on with the next level of Teaching Textbooks for our oldest.  Then we continued with the appropriate level of Horizons math for the other four.

Science - We did the first level of Apologia Zoology.  Had a lot of fun with this, as always.

History - This was the pilot year for Girls of American History.  We did this along with two other families and had a blast.  It was published the end of 2012.
